The price was the initial draw, though in hindsight the transport costs erased that savings. Never a

Honestly, not much. The price seemed reasonable when booking, and we made the best of it. That's about where the positives end.

The hosts were not accomodating to changing the reservation even with 2 weeks notice and wanted to keep our whole payment without having provided any service. Unfortunately we were able to keep our original plans so we ended up using the stay. I wish I had let them keep the money and paid more to stay somewhere else. The location was misleading: the pin was near Bloomfield/Shadyshide, and while the Property has "Millvale" in the name, Bloomfield has a N. Millvale Ave - you don't get to see the actual address before paying. The property is actually in Millvale the neighborhood, ACROSS THE RIVER, costing us an hour of travel each way as we were expecting to be in an area with more than one bus option. Add a pitch-black entryway with lifted nails I tripped on and fortunately only tore a sock on (photos available), only a towel for the whole stay (no hair towel, no wash cloth), and leftover guest soap in the shared bathroom despite promised amenities. We were locked out on our final night because the keypad wouldn't power on at all - the host went silent for over two hours, then replied "what code did you use" without reading any of our messages explaining the keypad wouldn't even turn on. Fortunately, the keypad had already reset on its own before they had bothered misreading our messages.
