very disappointing experience

the view

Read this before booking this accommodation. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected, and I think future guests deserve to know exactly what they're booking. First of all, the area did not feel safe. During our stay, my friend's motorbike was stolen right in front of the house, which immediately made us question the safety of the location. Another major issue is the access to the property. The road leading to the villa is in extremely poor condition and partly closed, making it difficult and sometimes unsafe to drive through. Several Grab drivers even refused to deliver food because they didn't want to use that road. Communication with the owner was one of the most frustrating parts of our stay. Messages often went unanswered unless it was something that benefited them. When I arrived, nobody showed me around the property or explained how anything worked, so I had to figure everything out myself. One of the biggest issues was the lack of transparency regarding the staff. The listing does not clearly state that staff regularly enter the property. Before arriving, we specifically said we were not comfortable with this, but our concerns were ignored. We would leave our room and suddenly find people in the garden or around the villa without any notice. Even more concerning, the staff opened the gate and allowed the bike rental company to enter the property without asking for our permission. Having strangers enter a private villa without informing guests is unacceptable and made us feel very uncomfortable. The owner also explained that the house only functions properly if someone is there. During our stay, the water in the shower and sinks ran out several times because the tanks were empty. Each time we had to contact them and wait for someone to refill them, which repeatedly disrupted our stay. Although staff were on-site, they only cleaned what we specifically requested.

Magnifique villa
