I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Green Garden Retreat and the wonderful Moon and her family!
We booked this place at the very last minute, and it turned out to be one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed in Vietnam ever.
First of all, the property itself is beautiful. It’s brand new, everything is spotless, the rooms are lovely, and the swimming pool is exceptionally clean (which, in my experience, isn’t always a given in smaller properties!). Breakfast is fantastic, with plenty of choices and genuinely delicious coffee.
But the real reason this place is so special is Moon. Her kindness and generosity are honestly something else. Every single morning, she prepared something special for our little boy, including his own food and freshly squeezed juice. Whenever we were heading out to explore, she would make fresh juices for us to take along. When we returned to the hotel around our son’s nap time, she would often have a little meal prepared just for him.
On our last day, she even surprised us with a huge, beautiful plate of fresh fruit! And the most incredible part? She never charged us a single extra penny for any of these things. We were almost embarrassed by how generous she was! She genuinely went above and beyond, not because she had to, but because that’s simply the kind of person she is.
The location is peaceful, quiet and safe, and the hotel also provides free bicycles, including one with a child seat, which was wonderful for exploring the area as a family.
Moon is one of the sweetest people we’ve met on our travels, and we left feeling incredibly grateful to have found this little place.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour ici, que ce soit en termes de confort, propreté, tout était parfait. Moon a été aux petits soins avec nous, elle s’est assurée que nous passions un séjour sans encombre, merci à elle, nous reviendrons sûrement !!!

Very quiet area off the main road. Great size pool. Looks really nice around the pool area. Couple of deck chairs for sitting. Very accommodating host. Generous breakfast. Quite obviously a new build. Good room options to accommodate families with teens. Easy walk into the main hub of Tam Coc. Bikes were available to use too.
The beds were very hard with only one pillow each - would have liked a second. And there were no blankets, just the top sheet. Would have been nice to have the option there, even if it's just in the cupboard.
