A nice enough apartment, let down by cumbersome booking procedure.
The location is good: just inside the Juderia of Cordoba, and six minutes walk from the Mezquita-Catedral. It is quiet at night. The small apartment is clean and as advertised.
My poor review is down to two things, both to do with the booking process. Owing to a mistake (mine) I booked the wrong days (25th and 26th). When I realised this, a week in advance, I requested a date change to the 24th and 25th. I received a reply to say that this was not possible. I asked if I could book an extra day (24th). What a surprise: this WAS possible (of course it was!) I consider this mean-spirited.
Then we come to the entry process: a long and tiresome procedure of online form-filling, in order to receive app-based entry-codes to both the exterior door and the apartment door. These did not ONCE arrive in my WhatsApp without an issue, forcing me to call the office and ask them to reissue it. God knows what would have happened if this had occurred outside of office hours, or if my phone had run out of battery.
In fact, something like this DID happen to someone else in the building. And so, at midnight, there was a knock on our ground-floor window asking me to open the door. (A heavy metal door, incidentally, which banged noisily next to out flat throughout the night.)
This is a system that clearly offers many benefits to the letting company, and the expense of guest convenience. The whole thing soured our experience with this apartment.
