Highly disapointed................
I can tell you that they had a problem with the original house i was going to stay at In Punta Gorda. The morning of my departure they offered me an alternative place to stay in Port Charlotte, not ideal but they had a place for me. At that point communication was great.
Although i cannot rate the facility due to the fact i never made it due to Delta airlines cancelling both flights which caused me to miss my business apointments My stay was Mon- Sat. Upon Delta Cancelling my fligts i communicated with the person i was in contact with on the property that i was not going to make it there. Giving them an opportunity to rent the facility back out W-Sat without having to do any cleaning ect. I also asked if i could get a refund or partial refund and was told i had a non refundable stay ( guess i shouldnt of even called them with a courtesy call for their behalf) She advised me that it was between me and Booking.com and to contact them. Which i did, Now not the good part
I made contact with Booking .com and asked if there was a way to get a refund or partial refund. They told me i had to fill out a form in which we did and that it was up to the property owner. and they would get back to me with the owners response. I waited and waited and would up contacting them multiple times and kept getting the response I'll have to get ahold of the owner ( BTW Thats who i beleive i was in conctact with originally) but now its ill contact them. I reached out multiple tiimes over a weeks time now with ZERO response from them as if they did not care since they got paid for the full usage even though it was not ever used and let them know immediatly so they coulod try to rent it out and not be out.
So, with all this being said She blammed Booking.com and booking.com said it was their responsibility to get back to me with an answer which is now 2 weeks without any response.
So as a business travler I do accept the responsibility , now mistake of not getting a refundabe stay. But i can sure say as a business owner if i were them i would try to make things right or reoffer me a stay at a discounted rate for being courtisy enough to immmediatly contact them and let them know. All this being said i cannot rate the house but i can sure rate the owner of this and i would not and will not ever use them again, once paid they could care less about their clients. As i will probabaly have to make about another 6-12 week long stays in this area over the next 14-18 months. Im very old school i believ in making things right with people over jus being greedy. I gave them ample opportunity to make it right as well as even get back to me with what they could or couldnt do instead, crickets.... I even contacted Delta to see if they would refund my missed saty in which they did not I also sent the property the invoice from De;lta saying they wouldnt pay to show them it was not my fault for not being able to make it to Port Charlotte.
