Extremely stressful experience – Left on the street at night with an empty key box & Ghost Host
> Do not book this property. Our stay here was completely ruined before it even started due to severe host negligence, lack of responsibility, and total ghosting.
> Upon our arrival late in the evening, we found that the key box on site was completely EMPTY and no keys were provided. We tried calling the host immediately, but he refused to answer our phone calls.
> After a brief exchange via WhatsApp where he admitted the mistake (claiming previous guests locked the keys inside and his staff had no duplicate), he completely abandoned us. Instead of taking responsibility and securing an alternative place for us, he made excuses about a "lack of liquidity" and left us stranded in the middle of the night in peak summer season.
> Shortly after, the host completely stopped responding, stopped reading our messages, and ignored all incoming calls—both on his personal phone/WhatsApp and through the Booking.com platform. He went completely silent and never communicated with us or Booking.com again.
> As a result, we spent hours wandering the streets until 2:00 AM after a very long drive, desperately trying to find available hotel rooms on our own. We were close to spending the night in our car. The situation caused us immense stress, anxiety, and physical exhaustion, severely disrupting our holiday.
> Everything was eventually handled exclusively by Booking.com Customer Service, who stepped in and fully reimbursed our emergency costs after we provided complete evidence. Stay far away from this host—if anything goes wrong, he will simply vanish and leave you stranded on the street.
Fully dissapointed !
