Terrible.
Nothing.
Unfortunately, our stay at the Lemon House was extremely disappointing. We are a family from Germany, with our son and his girlfriend travelling all the way from South Africa to join us in Italy.
From the moment we arrived, we reported the problems to the accommodation. There was no Wi-Fi, despite it being advertised, which was especially problematic for our son and his girlfriend as international travellers relying on Google Maps, calls and communication. The shower was broken, the bathroom ventilation did not work, and there wasnt any windows, the TV did not work, and there were no duvet covers on the duvets, which made the accommodation feel unclean.
The bathroom door was reported as a problem from the beginning, as it could easily become stuck and was extremely difficult to open. Despite us specifically raising this issue, nothing was done. During our stay, the father became trapped inside the bathroom for approximately 30 minutes. We immediately contacted the accommodation, sent photographs and explained what had happened.
After this, we still received no meaningful assistance or feedback regarding the door.
We also experienced multiple power failures. Instead of someone coming to assist us, we were sent instructions on how to restore the power ourselves. All of these issues were repeatedly reported from the beginning of our stay, with photographs provided as evidence, yet we had to continually chase for responses. We were eventually told that the issues would be fixed on Monday — the day we were leaving.
Even after our stay, we contacted them again regarding the bathroom door and other unresolved problems and are still waiting for a response.
We understand that things can occasionally go wrong, but what is unacceptable is reporting serious issues from the beginning, including a potential safety concern, and receiving virtually no assistance. After a second person became trapped in the bathroom, we still received no proper feedback or action.
