Simple but comfortable and perfect for a short stay for solo or couple travellers

This flat is in a good location for getting to central London quickly. It’s fairly simple but comfortable and has everything you need if you need a well located place to stay. I was staying alone so it was a perfect size for that.

The place is a little more basic than the pictures but mostly still accurate. I had a little trouble getting into the property (I’d recommend giving the owner a message early on the day you arrive!) but the owner was very apologetic, responsive, and helpful afterwards.

Great location, but not suitable for families

The location was definitely the best aspect of our stay. The studio is very conveniently located near Caledonian Road, with good transport connections and easy access to central London.

Unfortunately, apart from the location, there were several aspects of the accommodation that we found disappointing. The entrance to the building was not pleasant at all, with a considerable amount of rubbish outside and around the access area. We also took several photos documenting the situation. The studio is located above or very close to a pub, which means there can be a lot of noise until around midnight. This was particularly noticeable on Saturday night, when there was very loud music, making it difficult to rest, especially when travelling with children. However, the most disappointing aspect for us was the mezzanine sleeping area. The space between the mattress and the ceiling was extremely limited, approximately 50 cm, making it very uncomfortable to sleep there. Our children felt uncomfortable and complained about the lack of air and space, so in the end we had to move the mattress downstairs and all sleep together on the lower level. Another disappointing aspect is that I have been waiting for an invoice for several days. I requested it because I need it for business accounting purposes, but so far I have received neither the invoice nor any reply or update regarding my request. For these reasons, based on our personal experience, I would not recommend this accommodation for a family holiday, particularly for families travelling with children.
