We really like this area - great transport connections and amazing restaurants everywhere here. We enjoyed being a little bit away from the tourist traps of Tokyo.
It wasn’t terrible but it was the least nice place we stayed in our five weeks in Japan. Tiny apartment. Not much light. Minimal supplies - no glasses, one knife. The common areas in the building have a bad smell. Steep narrow stairs. Painful check in process that we didn’t encounter anywhere else. Also not flexible with check in and out times unless you pay a high surcharge. Given that we stayed a week I find it a bit unfriendly.
