The location is very good to visit Caen, Bayeux and the surrounding area. The neighbourhood is quiet and the private parking is very convenient. The dishwasher and washing machine were also very useful. The house is spacious and comfortable for a family vacation.
The reality of the interior did not match up to the photos. The furniture and fittings were tired and a bit grubby and, although the sheets and duvet covers were beautifully clean, when I stripped the beds I found stained duvets and pillows that need a good wash. The dustbins had not been emptied and were full to overflowing and the crockery and cutlery were dirty and had to be washed before use. There was dirty cutlery in the dishwasher. There was one dishwasher tablet in the welcome pack along with a sponge cleaner, so bring supplies if you feel you may need more. The coffee maker takes Senseo coffee bags. There were two in an open dish next to the machine and two teabags in a welcome pack.
The house itself could be lovely, but it could do with a little care and attention to detail to bring it up to standard.
