Loved the traditional Japanese architecture and interior, the tatami floors and wood interior made a great vibe that was a lovely experience. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and kind.
Didn’t get to stay longer and chat with the owner more.

The house is beautiful, located away in a quiet area (up a steep hill), very picturesque and decorated in beautiful traditional Japanese style. The volunteers were very welcoming and the facilities were great. In the end my friends couldn't stay and the owner offered to give them a refund, which I thought was very generous.

Owner Dayana was lovely to speak with. Was fun chatting with those volunteering at the house. Beds were comfortable. Loved the hospitality and great to be in a traditional house.
Clearer advertising of the property type and location online. It was not clearly mentioned that this would be a hostel/sharehouse.

Location was good for us as we got to see mandarin orchards while cycling up the hill to get to the house. The view from the house was good.
We enjoyed talking to other cyclists in the shared kitchen.
- The gas cartridge (cylinder) ran out and there was no spare ones, so we could not use the gas cooker. (Maybe there was a spare one kept somewhere, but the owner was absent and nobody could find one.) Luckily we managed to do all our cooking using the electric frying pan.
- Bed was not comfortable. The bottom futon that we laid on was too thin. The linen was not fresh.
