Don't do it... :-(

Location was fine & in a central location of Columbus

I wanted to share my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Jungle House on August 16-17. When I initially booked the property, it seemed like a great value. During the booking process, I was offered check-in options and selected the 11:00 a.m. to Noon arrival window. However, after booking, I was informed that early check-in would require additional fees, ranging from $29 to $79 depending on the time requested. Since I did not feel I should have to pay extra for a time that had already been presented as an option, we waited until the standard 4:00 p.m. check-in. Unfortunately, the additional fees did not stop there. Later, I received offers for late checkout, again with tiered charges of $29 for an 11:00 a.m. checkout and $79 for a 1:00 p.m. checkout. The constant upselling left me feeling nickel-and-dimed throughout the experience. What made the situation significantly worse was discovering a roach in the bedroom during the middle of the night. I immediately texted to report the issue because, quite frankly, I was upset and uncomfortable. Being in a city where I do not live and finding an insect in the sleeping area late at night was unacceptable. The response I received was simply that no other properties were available and that the cleaners would be informed. No alternative accommodations, compensation, or meaningful resolution was offered. As a result, I barely slept and could not wait to leave the property the next morning. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, customer service, and transparency regarding fees. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and that my concerns were not taken seriously. I never heard anything back about this situation.

The aggravation of booking the property was hell. I had to keep filling out online documents that were on software that was buggy and it wasted hours of my time. The staff was not helpful. It ruined my entire trip due to the severely aggravating online documentation process.

Too many non refundable charges after you book, which is also non refundable. Never going there again.

It was in a great location. It had 2 baths. It was a neat old turn of the century home.

First and foremost, the add on’s that you have to have are not discussed before you pay. I had 4 people total. $35 extra per person over you. You get that when you go to pay. Then they say parking is free. This is not totally true. One car is free, the second car was $15. I paid it so we could park both cars. You have to park across the street, down the street or two alley ways down, IF there is a spot to park. They send you that information after you pay and it states $10. I was told it was an error and they would not refund. Then, they told me I had to pay $29 extra to check out at 11am, instead of their designated time of 10am. Okay. Paid that. Then I get a text that says either I let them put a hold on my card for $300 or pay $59 connivence fee for their insurance, mind you I had to already pay for cleaning in the OG payment. Then, after I paid that $59 it says I can til 11 now for free. I asked for a refund since I already paid that. They stated they do not do refunds. Now, all of this ended up costing a total of over $400 for something that was listed as $179ish. The last thing that was bad was that there is not central air. It wouldn’t be too bad except that I was on the top floor and all I had was a heater in my room and the house was hot. There was a fan in the room across from mine and a window unit on the second floor bedroom. I ended up sleeping on the couch in shorts and we left at 630am. I would not ever stay there again. Just cause it’s cute… it is like lipstick on a pig. The prof is in my pictures.
