The Grußberggut is a working farm offering cozy apartments for 2 to 6 people—ideal for families and those seeking relaxation. The accommodations feature separate living and sleeping areas, some with two bedrooms, as well as modern kitchen-living rooms equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. Balcony access and free Wi-Fi are available throughout the house.
The farm animals—including cows, pigs, dogs, and cats—are especially popular with young guests. The farm’s homemade products, such as fresh milk, dairy products, jams, juices, and schnapps, are also a real treat.
Summer in Gastein
From the center of Bad Hofgastein you can take a leisurely hike to the Grußberggut alpine hut: via the Kronwald farm trail and past the Annencafe, it’s a two-hour hike through the forests of Gastein, offering breathtaking views. In late summer, the “Almklassik” festival also takes place there, featuring the Hofgastein Spa Orchestra: A must-see for mountain and culture lovers!
Winter in Gastein
From your lodging, it’s about a 10-minute drive to the Schlossalmbahn, which connects you directly to Gastein’s largest contiguous ski area, Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel. Once there, you’ll have access to numerous winter sports activities, from classic skiing to snowshoeing and curling.
