A lovingly restored craftsman’s house steeped in history, charm, and plenty of heart. “Bartles Hus” accommodates 10 to 12 people and is fully equipped—everything you need for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation is already here. Whether with family or friends, you’ll find the ideal place to unwind, enjoy yourself, and feel right at home.
Experience the charming Bartles Hus in Mellau, where family-friendly adventures meet breathtaking nature. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and easy hiking trails, our vacation home is the perfect spot for your next vacation. The nearby ski lift and unspoiled nature invite you to go skiing or take relaxing walks, while numerous hiking trails start right outside the door.

Bartles Hus Vacation Home:
The house was taken over in 2024 by Christoph and Mario Hager—two passionate craftsmen—and extensively renovated with great care and attention to detail. The name pays homage to the former owner, Bartle, a carpenter whose work can still be seen in the house today. Thus, “Bartles Hus” combines traditional craftsmanship with modern living standards.
From the outside, the house captivates with its typical Bregenzerwald wood-shingle facade; inside, it welcomes you with a warm atmosphere, natural materials, and plenty of space to feel at home.
The first floor features a cozy kitchen, an inviting living room, and a bedroom. A staircase leads to a mezzanine level with a bathroom (shower & toilet), a separate toilet, and another bedroom. On the upper floor, you’ll find three more bedrooms as well as an additional bathroom (shower & toilet).
On-site fees: The reservation becomes binding upon our confirmation. The vacation home may only be used by the number of people listed in the reservation. Pets are allowed only by prior arrangement. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. Guests are liable for any damage they cause. The one-time final cleaning fee is €100 per stay and is charged in addition to the rental price.
