It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the temperature in the room was controllable and fine, and there was hot water. These are minimum qualifications for a hotel, and they were met.
There is no elevator, the carpets in the halls are worn and dirty-looking, the sink in our bathroom was chipped in several places and there were two holes in the back of the bathroom door. There were no amenities: no coffee maker in the room and nothing to eat in the lobby. It's a bare-bones place, and at the same time, poor value. The room was over $300 per night (including tax), jacked up no doubt because it was Parents Weekend at Ithaca College.
