We recently stayed at a traditional hanok-style, and it was such a unique and memorable experience. The house had a very authentic, old-style Korean design, with beautiful wooden structures, sliding doors, and a peaceful courtyard that really made it feel like stepping back in time. Everything about the space felt calm and intentional, which made it incredibly relaxing to stay in.
One of the things I appreciated most was the atmosphere. It was quiet and cozy, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Sleeping on the traditional bedding and being surrounded by the classic architecture made the experience feel much more meaningful than staying in a regular hotel.
The location was also a huge plus. There were local markets nearby where you could walk around and try different street foods, and plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. It was really convenient to grab meals or just explore the neighborhood without having to travel far.
Overall, this stay was both comfortable and culturally enriching. If you’re looking for something different from a typical modern accommodation, I would definitely recommend staying in a hanok. It’s a great way to experience traditional Korean living while still enjoying a convenient location.
