We had this property booked months in advance for a concert we were attending. They cancelled on me with less than 24 hours to go. Had I not chased them for information I don’t think they would have even contacted me. Everything else in the area was too expensive luckily booking.com paid the difference and helped us search for a new apartment.

Change the description of your stay so it is clear to guests that this is a shared accomodation
Beds were large and extremely comfortable, with pillows and considerate things were provided for our stay like towels, cold water, cotton buds, a bottle of wine etc.
The accommodation is was surprisingly very clean
We were not expecting anything luxurious, and guests should come with the expectation that this really is just an accomodation to crash for the night after an event
The listing gives the impression of a fully self-contained two-bedroom apartment. On arrival, we found an additional locked room labelled “Room 1,” along with a note stating this room belonged to the host. We assumed this was storage space and that the rest of the property was private for our use.
This assumption proved wrong. During our stay, a man unlocked the front door and entered the apartment without warning while we were inside getting changed. He did not introduce himself, so we had no way of knowing whether he was the host or another guest. This was especially distressing for us, as two women in the group felt unsafe in that moment. We think he had stayed in "Room 1", but we hastened our leave to our event after this incident.
Clear communication about the nature of the accommodation is essential. If the apartment is shared or accessible to others, this must be stated upfront. Had we known this in advance, we would had been better prepared for this.
This review would had scored higher if not for this lack of transparency when we initially booked.
Other things that the host could look into improving:
1. Full curtains across to cover the garden door to block light
2. Fix garden gate that leads to park for extra guest security
3. Room 2 can get very hot, as there isn't a window, so providing a fan for this room would provide a much more comfortable stay.
Wishing the host the very best of luck, and they should not feel discouraged.

Our reservation was cancelled by the property only one hour before check-in because of a boiler problem.
The owner confirmed in writing that the replacement accommodation and transportation costs would be covered. However, despite several messages, we have not yet received a response regarding the reimbursement.
Please contact us urgently through the Booking.com messaging system so that this matter can be resolved.
