Ogroman smeštaj, prijatan boravak i siguran parking

Disappointing stay due to poor management response/action

We stayed at Villa Mainard in Verona for one week. While the property has some positive features, our overall experience was unfortunately well below what we expected. The residence is located a little outside Verona’s city center, but it is still convenient to reach by car or bicycle. Our apartment was spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which worked very well for our family of four. There is also a small but practical elevator, which is appreciated when staying on the third floor. The apartment itself was clean and well-presented when we arrived.

Parking was advertised as included, but in reality it was almost impossible to use. We only managed to park there twice during our stay because the guest parking area was constantly occupied by large vans and commercial vehicles, leaving no room for a normal-sized car. It was surprising that no one appeared to monitor or manage the parking situation. The biggest disappointment, however, was the complete lack of functioning air conditioning. The apartment had two air conditioning units, but neither of them actually cooled the apartment. They simply blew warm air while the indoor temperature remained well above 30°C. We contacted the management immediately after our arrival. The only response we initially received was that the air conditioning could not be repaired until after the Football World Championship was over. Three days later, with the apartment still unbearably hot, we repeatedly tried to contact the management again by both phone and messages. From that point on, we received no replies whatsoever. Our requests for assistance were simply ignored. To make matters even worse, both air conditioning units leaked water continuously. We had to place buckets underneath them and empty the buckets every four hours to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. This is simply not an acceptable situation for a holiday rental. Problems can happen at any property, and we understand that repairs are not always immediate. What disappointed us most was the complete lack of communication and willingness to help. Being ignored when you need assistance is not the level of service anyone should expect. Until the management significantly improves its responsiveness, communication, and sense of responsibility toward its guests, we unfortunately cannot recommend Villa Mainard.
