The room was small, even by European standards. No place to unpack some clothing items, wardrobe not adequate, small # of hangers provided. Bathroom did not have any counter or shelf space to lay out toiletries…
Breakfast was wonderful
As above, needed space in bathroom to put out some toiletries such as toothbrush, hair products or the like
Shower enclosure (over tub) very high step in and door was not very convenient to access towel to dry

Location was great, just a short walk from Circo Massimo and in historic Aventine area. It is just around the corner from the Keyhole (for what that is worth!). Hotel is very characterful, and charming. Staff are friendly enough. Hotel seems to be in some top list of places to stay for elderly Americans.
Air-conditioning in the room was not that great. Breakfast was not as good as reviews suggested, just average for a hotel in that price range. Garden had a lot of mosquitoes. Our room was a 'budget' room but quite expensive and a bit disappointing after reading reviews. All in all, my impression was of a slightly fading but charming hotel at the end of the season, not quite meeting my expectations from reviews read.
