The location of the building and view of the city were top of the line. The host team fell below the line.
The location of the building and the view of the city was a real treat. The beds were very comfortable. The Hotel/ building staff, although not part of the property were kind and accommodating with questions and directions when asked. These people are completely separate from the units “staff”.
The moment we arrived, we noticed the toilet was clogged and not flushing properly. While we were settling in we had someone walk into our unit without knocking, I assume it was the units housekeeping. The first night, we were startled by the smoke detector fire alarm siren sounding off and this continued to happen every two hours or so. I notified the front desk thinking it was a building repair and they were kind enough to come and replace the batteries hoping this would fix the problem. It did not, and us and our young children were woken up throughout the night. The next morning I message the host at 6:00 AM through the booking.com app requesting a refund for the second night, afraid to have another terrible night of sleep. Yes, they were apologetic and asked for a chance to correct and address the issue so we agreed and went on with our day. It wasn’t until 5:00 PM that someone showed up,
Leaving any potential time to see if a repair was corrected before our children’s bed time, out the window.
I explained prior to them coming that the building maintenance already changed the batteries and this did not fix the alarm. All the units service team did was again, change the batteries and left. It was yet another night of alarms going off and terrible sleep. I messaged through the booking.com app explaining my frustrations and every message received back was just very AI sounding as if computer generated responses. After checking out they had the nerve to ask for a 10 star review, “because anything less could have them removed from booking.com”
The couch was also the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever sat on.
