Location is okay
I will just start by saying, I would highly suggest looking at a different place to stay, this is frankly the worst accommodation I have stayed in. I will start with a review of the actual studio itself, it is small but that was to be somewhat expected, the place lacks adequate functionality and safety.
The bathroom is disgusting, it absolutely stank of mildew and damp and was extremely unclean. The toilet bowl was black, the toilet seat clearly not wiped down before we arrived, there was visible dust and debris on it. The most shocking part is that the tap was completely loose and clearly not installed correctly, to the point you move it to change temperature and it would spread water over the floor due to so much movement, which undoubtedly will cause issues if left in this condition for any longer. There is also no mirror in the bathroom. The shower was awful, so much so that we decided to just not use it, the shower tray I assume has been painted over, there is visible chips, stains and overall not what I would expect to see for paying guests.
The general standard of this studio is appalling and not maintained. The laminate flooring chipped, hair over the floor, just an abysmal level of basic housekeeping. The ‘sofa bed’ is dirty with visible stains and the most concerning is that it’s actually broken, the arm of the sofa bed completely came away from the rest of the structure which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.
Secondly, the upper mezzanine level is particularly strange and unsafe and you require a level of flexibility to get up and down it. The stairs are extremely steep which wasn’t our biggest concern as the pictures were quite clear on this, however, to have stairs this steep and not have a well-secured bannister is a massive health and safety issue, it would certainly benefit from being fastened, as it was very wobbly when you hold it. Once you are up there, don’t even bother trying to sit upright, it is not possible.

The only good thing is location, which is why we selected it.
This should not even be on offer. The building is in severe need of repair/redecorating with broken plasterwork, broken mirror, threadbare carpets, items stored in stairwell making for hazardous exit in case of fire. The room was on the 4th floor. The condition of everything was poor, mould in shower, dirty toilet, smoke detectors did not appear to be working, loose wiring un kitchen unit, no safety info. The bed loft area is up a dangerous ladder stairway and you would have to crawl to the mattress. Close the place down and reopen when it is remodelled.
