Dek and the family are very friendly.
The accommodation is simple but it is exactly what you need if you actually want to go explore Ubud. Clean room, clean indoor bathroom. Lovely family temple to view on site.
There are pets - cats, dogs and chickens - but they are also friendly too.
Ubud central is 30 mins away if you want more atmosphere but the tranquil settings of Karuna Homestay is perfect.
Nothing. I am returning. Only thing I would say is to research what a homestay is before booking. Do not expect a hotel reception.
This place is for independent people who are comfortable doing their own thing.
You can come with a suitcase as the entrance steps are small.
