The house is spacious, and the pool was wonderful. The location is also convenient, with several restaurants offering a variety of cuisines within walking distance. Having a gas station directly across the street was especially helpful.
We expected better maintenance and attention to detail. The house was extremely hot upon arrival, the master bedroom AC wasn't working, and the refrigerator's water and ice dispenser was leaking, requiring us to empty the drip tray daily. We contacted the owner about the AC, and although he offered to arrange a repair, he never followed up. There were dead plants or plants about to die around the house.
The front door was another issue. The deadbolt was extremely difficult to unlock, requiring us to repeatedly wiggle the key. My husband even hurt his hand trying to open it. We eventually stopped using the deadbolt for the remainder of our stay.
There wasn't even a bottle of drinking water available upon arrival, which would have been a thoughtful gesture, especially in Cancún. Thankfully, the gas station across the street was convenient for purchasing water and ice.
Another frustrating issue was the address. Neither Google Maps nor Waze could locate the property correctly. We had to call the owner upon arrival so he could direct our driver, and arranging Uber pickups was also problematic.
Overall, the property has some wonderful features, particularly the pool and proximity to restaurants, but the lack of maintenance, attention to detail, and follow-through made the experience disappointing for the price we paid.
