Excellent location. House comfortable..owner was lovely

There were so many lovely, thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. The fire was already laid, and a bottle of wine and some treats had been left for us. Milk, coffee and biscuits were also provided, along with plenty of essentials such as soap, towels, toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets.
The house is an older property and would have benefited from being aired before our arrival. There were air fresheners throughout. It would also have been nice to have the heating on when we arrived, particularly as it was tricky to operate. The property appears to have been recently renovated, but some areas still need attention. The kitchen cupboards were wonky, and the lino flooring was lifting in places. Another point worth noting is that there is no parking available, which was not mentioned in the property description.
Having read the reviews, which rated the property 9.8 out of 10 (“Superb”), we arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, our own experience didn’t reflect this feedback.
