A bit noisy from the dragging of chairs above us since restaurant is located above us yet overall experience is still wonderful and magnificent!

Our first impression of the hotel was good. It had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, was neat and well presented, and gave us that cozy, home-away-from-home feeling. One of our favourite things about the hotel was the café and restaurant, conveniently located in the same area as the reception. They made great smoothies and served good dinner, making it a lovely place to relax. The front desk staff were also friendly, accommodating, and welcoming, which added to our positive first impression
Unfortunately, there were a few things that affected our overall experience, particularly the room we booked. Breakfast was a little disappointing. We were offered a choice between different plates. The Western option was quite limited, with an odd tiny slice of bacon and not much else to it. If we wanted something extra, such as pancakes, we had to order and pay for it separately. It would have been nice to have a more generous breakfast. A word of caution when booking your room. This part was partly my own mistake, as I booked a room without a window. Ordinarily, I might not have minded this, but the room's design made the experience much more difficult than expected. The room had an old-fashioned design, with stone features and a large wooden ceiling. Combined with the lack of a window and the room's position directly behind an emergency exit door, which was always open, in the hallway, the space felt very enclosed and suffocating to me. For someone who experiences anxiety or claustrophobia, this type of room could be particularly challenging. I found the feeling so overwhelming that on several occasions during the night, I seriously considered checking out early because I wasn't sure I could manage the anxiety. I can imagine that staying in one of the hotel's rooms with a window or balcony would be a completely different experience, especially since the hotel offers some lovely views. Final Thoughts and Booking Advice Overall, the hotel has a lot going for it: a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, good food at the café, and an inviting common area. However, our experience was significantly affected by the room we booked and the limited breakfast options. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you book a room with a window or balcony. If you are sensitive to enclosed spaces or experience anxiety or claustrophobia, I strongly recommend avoiding the windowless rooms.
