Joy was a fantastic host, very friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, particularly when a few things didn't quite go to plan. He was quick to respond and genuinely did his best to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, which we really appreciated.
The villa had some lovely features, especially the excellent air conditioning, which was a real bonus during the hotter days. The comfortable TV area was a great place to relax, with good Wi-Fi making it easy to unwind and escape the heat.
Despite a few initial hiccups, there was plenty to like about the villa, and Joy's helpfulness and hospitality certainly made a positive difference to our stay.
We felt the villa would have benefited from a more thorough inspection and clean before our arrival, as it seemed as though it hadn't been occupied for some time. Unfortunately, there were quite a few ants around the kitchen worktops and bedroom windows, and my son even woke up to find ants on his pillow.
We completely appreciate that the villa is in a rural location and that insects are to be expected, but we do feel a certain standard of cleanliness should be maintained, particularly when booking through Booking.com.
The pool was also green when we arrived, which was a little disappointing.
On a positive note, Joy, our host, was extremely helpful and quick to respond. He arranged for the pool to be sorted and provided ant killer, which we really appreciated.
It was simply a shame that these issues hadn't been addressed before our arrival, as it would have made for a much better first impression.
