Nestled in the tranquility of the Umbrian countryside, within the picturesque grounds of the Poggiolo agritourism estate, Il Fienile is a small, romantic cottage converted from an old barn that has been skillfully renovated. An intimate and cozy retreat, perfect for couples seeking relaxation, nature, and authenticity.
On the first floor, you’ll find a bright living room with a kitchenette, ideal for socializing; upstairs, a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom offers privacy and comfort in a warm and cozy atmosphere. Outside, a charming veranda opens onto a spacious green area: the perfect spot for al fresco breakfasts or dinners under a starry sky, enveloped by the silence of the countryside.
Surrounding the property, the 19th-century villa and historic farm buildings are nestled in a park of centuries-old trees where the charm of a bygone era still lingers. Here, time slows down: the scent of linden trees, jasmine, and roses; fireflies on summer evenings; and squirrels and hares in the woods create an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. Not everything is perfect at Poggiolo—time has left its mark—but this is precisely what gives the estate its unique character and a touch of old-world elegance.
Guests have free access to the pool, tennis courts, and the forest trails surrounding the property. You can also take advantage of the on-site riding stables at a discounted rate to experience the thrill of a horseback ride through unspoiled nature.
Several medium-sized dogs live on the estate; they are friendly and accustomed to being around people. Pets are welcome, provided they are accustomed to being around other animals and to a rural setting.
