Overall, we had an okay stay, but there were several issues that kept it from meeting our expectations. One of the main reasons we booked was the toddler rock climbing wall shown in the listing photos. We weren't told until the day of arrival that it had been removed for insurance reasons. We would have appreciated knowing before we told the kids. The home was generally clean, and the host was responsive. However, check-in instructions weren't sent until about 30 minutes before the 3:00 p.m. check-in, despite being told they would arrive 1–2 hours earlier. The biggest issue was keeping the house cool. The portable AC units struggled to cool the home, frequently shut off to defrost, displayed error codes, and we were told running more than one would trip the breaker. The downstairs bedroom unit was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. We ended up buying four fans just to stay comfortable. One downstairs bedroom window also had no screen, so opening it wasn't a good option. The kitchen lacked a toaster and had very limited pots and pans. The porch had several soft or uneven boards, loose nails, and boards sticking up, which felt very unsafe so we barely used it. The screen door was loose enough for our toddler to push open. Inside, there were unfinished drywall repairs, and the living and dining room lights flickered. The property has potential but appears to be mid-renovation. Better communication, repairs, and improvements to the cooling system would make it a better stay
