About this apartment rental
Between the estate and the Spreewald lies a decommissioned open-pit lignite mine, where a new and interesting landscape is emerging, featuring lakes, reforested areas, succession zones, and farmland.
The Dubrau estate is one of five estates that belonged to the former Lübbenau manorial estate. First mentioned in a document in 1460, it was acquired in 1797 by Rochus August Graf zu Lynar and remained in the family’s possession until 1944. In 1996, it was returned to the family.
The Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, located to the north, is ideal for hiking, boat trips, and cycling. Also of interest is the reclamation and development of the land formerly used for the now-defunct open-pit lignite mine. You can explore the post-mining landscape via a paved bike path around and through the lignite mining area, which is also suitable for skaters. With direct access to the Spreewald, you can plan longer tours that let you experience two completely contrasting landscapes.
The green space in front of the vacation rental offers an ideal spot for barbecuing and relaxing. Younger guests can run around to their heart’s content in the area surrounding the vacation rental.
