Had a cooked full English breakfast which was lovely, nice to have the option of a continental breakfast whist waiting. Staff were attentive and were working hard to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I stayed for 1 night in room 24, a spacious room with everything you need. Bathroom also spacious with separate bath and shower. Overall an enjoyable stay with friendly staff who clearly care about what they do.

Breakfast ok. Could be excellent with a few tweaks like proper toasters instead of that antiquated useless contraption. Proper mugs not those small dated cups and saucers.
The more mature lady who had only been in post a few days should prove to be a real asset, try listening to her. Kitchen staff excellent but obviously under pressure. Receptionist young but very professional but needs to relax a bit.
The hotel has new owners and is obviously a work in progress. Bar was freezing and unwelclming. No basics like lemon for G&T. Demands for bank card to be registered even though we had paid in full. I refused, another woman was unhappy but caved in. Shutters pulled down every time receptionist who was manning bar and reception left. The lack of trust was palpable and insulting. Other residents spoke about that between themselves.
