Great location for travelling on the Scillonian to the Scillies. Lovely sea views and great for walking on the sea front. Good quality bed linen and towels and a good selection of tea/coffee options in the room also provision of bottled drinking water. Friendly helpful staff.
First impressions are very poor. Bar/reception area is very tired looking. Stair carpet up to the rooms was old and stained and several bags of dirty laundry on the landing. WiFi not working and no shower gel provided, although there was hand wash and hair conditioner! Overall the place looks tired and worn. Someone has made an effort to improve it but fluffy cushions and throws do not make up for curtains hanging off the rails. Have stayed in better for less money. No one eating in the bar so we went elsewhere.
