The location is stunning, very peaceful with a wonderful view but close enough to amenities. The house was very comfortable and John is an extremely attentive host. A good base to explore a varied and beautiful area.

We absolutely loved our stay at John’s beautiful Irish home. From the moment we arrived, we felt a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. The house and its surroundings truly capture the spirit of Ireland — warm, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking nature and beautiful mountain views.
It was such a special experience to slow down, enjoy the quiet, and simply spend quality time together as a family. The surroundings were so peaceful that we were even lucky enough to see a deer very close to the house — a magical moment we will remember for a long time. 🦌🍀
We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the time we spent there. It is the perfect place to escape the craziness of everyday city life, reconnect with nature, and enjoy precious time with family

Very comfortable cottage in exceptional location. Family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Cottage is very quiet bar the occasional sheep in the next fields. Easy to get to Glenties and (in other direction) The Glen View pub ( all a few minutes by car.) Good location also for Ardara and Narin/Portnoo beach (where we crossed to the island of Inishkeel when tide was out).
There were no issues.

We had a super stay in Bluestack Lodge. The house is in a lovely elevated setting just a few miles from Glenties. It was spacious and very well equipped and was a home from home for our few days. It made a great base for exploring the glorious scenery in Donegal. It was our first trip to Donegal and it didnt disappoint. In spite of some wet weather we had a lovely time. Slieve League and Glenveagh Castle were highlights.
The rain. But we didnt let it stop us having a good time.
