Not worth it at all! The host made my stay very unpleasant
SCAM ALERT! Please don't waste your money. Whoever manages this property is dishonest and operates like a con artist.
After I had already confirmed my booking, I was pressured into paying a R1,500 damage deposit before I could receive the keys. This requirement was never made clear upfront.
I stayed for 10 days and decided to extend my stay. The host sent me a payment link, I paid, and everything seemed fine. Shortly afterward, they started accusing me of making excessive noise without conducting any investigation. The noise was actually coming from a new tenant who had moved in and was drilling and changing his door locks for hours. After I explained this, they apologized and admitted they would investigate further.
A week later, when I wanted to extend my stay again, the host suddenly demanded an additional R5,000 damage deposit, claiming that because I had stayed for more than three weeks, my deposit needed to be increased. This policy had never been mentioned before I booked or during my stay.
After negotiating, she agreed to accept an extra R1,500, bringing my total deposit to R3,000. At that point, something felt very wrong, so I decided not to extend my stay and moved out.
When I requested my deposit back, they delayed the refund for a week before falsely accusing me of damaging and losing kitchen utensils that I never even used. (Items she mentioned could only have been taken from the apartment but someone with easy access, which is likely one of the cleaners because they had their own key to access the apartment)
They then claimed the damage amounted to R2,333, refused to refund my deposit, and even said I owed them more money.
The level of dishonesty is unbelievable. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend staying away from this property unless you're prepared to risk losing your money.
