the property was poorly maintained, lacked cleanliness, and had serious privacy, security, and management issues, so I d
The caretaker was extremely friendly, helpful, and always available whenever needed. He provided extreme support to make our stay comfortable—whether it was bringing food, arranging necessary materials, or helping with anything else we needed. We truly appreciated his warm and supportive nature.
The property is quite spacious and offers good facilities; however, unfortunately, it was not maintained to an acceptable standard. The washrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms were not properly cleaned, which significantly affected our overall experience.
There were also some serious concerns regarding privacy and security. At the time of booking, the manager contacted us and requested an early checkout around 9:00 AM because they had another function scheduled at the property. We declined the request as we were travelling with children. Despite this, several people entered the living room around 8:00 AM without our prior permission to make arrangements for a pooja. This was particularly concerning as we were still sleeping in the bedrooms on the first floor. Guests should be able to expect complete privacy and security during their stay.
More seriously, housekeeping staff entered the property in our absence, and beers were taken from the refrigerator. When we raised the issue with the caretaker, he confirmed that beers were indeed missing and discussed it with the manager. Unfortunately, instead of treating this as a serious security concern, the manager dismissed it by saying that it was only two beers and that he could reimburse us if required. The concern was never about the value of the items—it was the fact that staff had access to the property and entered it without our knowledge or permission. If they have access to the main entrance, this raises a much more serious concern about the security of guests and their belongings.
There was also considerable confusion regarding the payment. We had already paid the full amount in advance through Booking.com, but the manager repeatedly claimed that he had not received the payment. Even after I showed him the transaction details from my card, he continued to question the payment and stated that Booking.com does not charge guests in advance. This was quite frustrating and unprofessional.
