The location, down a small cobbled street and surrounded by beautiful buildings, is fabulous. Its proximity to Bayswater, Notting Hill and the Parks is fantastic.
The property itself is recently renovated and is super cosy to stay in.
The bedrooms are cosy and the beds super comfy!
We arrived to a property which hadn't been cleaned from the previous tenants unfortunately. This was super stressful to sort out (AI robot anyone after a long journey travelling with teenagers?) . I did finally get in touch with the host and a cleaner was swiftly organised. The host was apologetic and left us a bottle of wine/ late check out as apology but I would have just preferred a clean property on arrival.
The property was thoroughly cleaned, however I felt that we lost our first evening to sorting this out.
There is obviously a communication issue with the cleaning company. I think overall the property is generally very clean.
The heating takes a bit of working out. Despite some video's sent via WhatsApp the digital thermostats are unpredicable and the interface keeps changing. I spent the last night cold but was by this time fed up of complaining.
There is a lot of building work going on in this area. we were woken on or first morning to loud scaffolding been thrown into a lorry parked right outside. This continued for over 2 hours.
I appreciate this is not the fault of the property hosts, its just a heads up that it may not be as quiet as you want it to be.
