we reported multiple issues in writing via email before checkout, including the TV and internet outage, leaking freezer, water in dryer when attempting to freshen clothing, extremely dirty windows, rough towels, shifting toilet, poor water pressure, overheated pool, the unsanitary presence of cockroaches, and the misleading advertisement. These issues were documented in two emails sent prior to departure..
The TV and internet outage was especially disruptive. We rearranged our plans to meet maintenance, but the issue was not resolved and we received no follow‑up.Additionally, through conversing with a full time resident in the building, the prior occupants of our condo(Pelicans Watch) also reported TV and internet outages during their stay and this issues had not been resolved. Because of this, our children were unable to complete required online schoolwork at the condo and had to leave the property to do so which completely disrupted our trip agenda. Reliable internet and functioning TVs were advertised amenities along with a functioning dryer and mini refrigerator, and the failure to provide them significantly affected the value of the stay.
We received a call today regarding the cracked coffee table, we want to be clear that this damage did not occur during our stay. We request documentation showing the table’s condition immediately prior to our arrival, such as inspection photos or maintenance records.
Consumer‑protection guidelines generally require property managers to provide pre‑arrival condition documentation when asserting guest‑caused damage.
Given the number of issues, these disruptions to our plans, and the total cost of the reservation ($2,206.29 for 4 night stay) the $200 refund offered does not reflect a reasonable resolution.
