Great location - just 3 mins drive from town centre and various facilities. 15-20 mins drive from main A-Roads and link roads to elsewhere etc.
Bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Served its purpose well for my reason for visit (working locally).
Good security system with the keys being chained into the lockboxes - meant one less thing to carry around and also nobody could accidentally run off with the front door key.
Room was huge and spacious.
Owners (or perhaps third party management) were communicative and fairly quick replying.
Good value for the duration I was here and worth what I paid.
Wasn't 'unclean' by any means but I have had cleaner - just that sort of surface dust that needs another going-over, few hairs on bedding (bedding was clearly changed, but seemed to draw general grime).
Unsure if they were long-term guests but the others staying here appeared pretty well-settled, no problem with this but felt less comfortable using shared spaces such as kitchen or dining room as I almost felt that I was encroaching on somebody's space.
Despite owners/management being communicative and quick to reply, responses weren't particularly warm or hospitable.
Could do with an iron and ironing board in the room - presumably majority of guests staying are business travellers but was unable to maintain clothing accordingly.

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from the city centre and 1 mile from Darlington train station. Room was really big, there was a TV and a table
Bathroom is a bit far from the room. You will have to pass through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. If you don't have a sensitive bladder, it's not a problem, but if you frequently wake up in the middle of the night to pee, I suggest you book the room with private bathroom.
