Topp House Retreat

Beautiful location. Great little flat with attention to detail. Absolutely loved it.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Large and very well self contained, the owners were very helpful and enjoyed talking to them, the garden area was relaxing the place was very well catered for with all pots and pans crockery and breakfast very well catered for, very nicely presented all round, if im ever in the Barossa Valley I will certainly look it up again. The distance to the event we were attending in Tanunda was a bit to far to walk but as the weather was kind we could and did ride to the event in Tanunda, in fact it probably made our stay more special as we could enjoy the event in Tanunda and leave it behind us when we wanted relaxing time. And as requested it had a great covered hard stand for convienient parking, in my case a motiorcycle but equally a car with security cameras. Retreat Property with seperatev enterance very well presented wit double glazed windows throughout and heated bathroom flooring.

As I said in some ways we could not just walk to the event in Tanunda which meant we could not enjoy all the festivities the event had on offer but as I said we had the peace and tranquility away from the event when we wanted.

The location was relatively central to all we wanted to see/visit. Communication was good and the property was easy to find. The indoor space was nice and open. The breakfast inclusions were a nice touch. The historical information and cellar guides for the area was also appreciated.

It was unfortunate that the entire bathroom floor (including the toilet) got wet when using the shower. Needed something to be able to mop it up and dry it off so we could continue to use the bathroom. Also we stayed midweek and only realised once there, the limited dining options in Bethany.

It is like a “jewel in the crown”. It is very clean and spacious. The hosts have supplied everything that you would need . It also caters for people with a disability. Wow is a factor in our opinion. Bread, milk and home made biscuits supplied with amenities such as microwave, bbq , (in the spacious undercover carport) electric blankets to name a few items. Very comfortable home away from home. Information supplied re history of the area, even with a couple of blue wrens visiting us on our arrival. We were only there for a two night stay but would have liked to stay longer. Have intentions of returning in the future.
