Property is well equipped with a nice bathroom and nice kitchen, had shampoo, conditioner and body wash should you need it. Had 2 pedestal fans which i can appreciate. Close to tube for heathrow, and straight tube to king’s cross
Property not ready for 4pm check in and was told an hour and a half before. Arrived in london for an event that day and would need to leave around 5:30. Was told check in would be ready for 7pm. Host was helpful and after discussion allowed us to be in the flat whilst the cleaner was there. Can appreciate the people before were late check out and there was an accident with the usual cleaner. Feel like some compensation should have been offered to us regarding the check in time as was all round a faff on the hottest day in london thus far, 3 girls with big suitcases; not appropriate to ask us to wait around for 3 more hours to check in to our place to stay.
Beds were equipped with winter duvets, would guess at 15 tog and were very thick which is not suitable for the weather and heatwave going on at present. Both beds only had 2 pillows and not 4 which makes it for an uncomfortable sleep. Bedding extremely tatty with rips and snags in. Half of the quilt was hanging out of the duvet. Also sleeps 4 but only has 2 body towels? Also very steep steps so would avoid if heathrow is your destination as hard to lug suitcases up

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have ever had.

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have ever had.
Check-in was supposed to be at 4pm. We arrived on time, only to find there was no key in the lockbox. After contacting the host, we were told the maintenance person had the key and would arrive in 20 minutes. Instead, we were left standing outside on the street for over an hour in cold, rainy weather.
We were then instructed to retrieve a different key from another lockbox and go into a completely different flat just to wait. Eventually, someone arrived at around 5:30pm to open our apartment — but didn’t even leave us a key, claiming theirs was only an “emergency key.” This meant we had to leave the apartment unlocked when we went out. Our actual key was not delivered until 7:30pm. Completely unacceptable and very stressful.
The cleanliness was equally appalling. Despite being told that cleaners had been in before our arrival, the property was clearly not cleaned:
Used teabag left in the sink
Damp, dirty tea towel on the worktop
Visible grime and stains under the drying rack, on the hob, and inside the oven
Bathroom was filthy — stained bathtub, sink, and toilet
Toilet bin had not been emptied
One toilet wouldn’t flush properly
Bedding had stains
Sofa had food crumbs
Dining table was stained
Cups and cutlery were dirty and unusable
We couldn’t even shower because the bathroom was so unhygienic.
To make matters worse, there were serious safety concerns. We found opened cans of food in the fridge, alcohol (two bottles and three cans of beer) left in cupboards, and a pack of codeine (prescription medication) left accessible. We were travelling with a teenager, and this posed a real risk if we had not noticed these items.
Overall, this property was poorly managed, unclean, disorganised, and unsafe. The lack of basic standards, combined with the chaotic and unacceptable check-in experience, made this stay extremely frustrating.
I would strongly advise others to avoid this property.
