Ada Mevan Otel

The price, free breakfast and the size of the room.

The room smelled like smoke. They also organized a tour for us, but there were issues. On our first day of the stay, we asked to join a group tour to the island on our second day as we arrived in the late afternoon in Van on our first day. The weather forecast was not good, so the first employee informed me that the tour organizer would only confirm or cancel at the last minute, which is understandable. However I felt, first of all, it was me who had to keep asking for an update/ confirmation that the tour was cancelled on the morning of the second day. Due to the lack of communication, and as we only had one more day, we asked another hotel employee about a public bus to the island, but due to the timing it didn't work as we had our flight at around 4.30. However, the second employee managed to get someone to drive us to take us to the island. During this conversation, he advised us to leave at 11 but I asked for us to leave at 10.30, as it was a private tour. He said OK. At that time we didn't know but the second employee talked to the first employee and the first employee was our driver for the trip. At around 9.30, we got a message from the first employee that we were to leave at 11.30, not 10.30 as previously agreed upon. He said he was aware of our flight leaving at 4.30 and we would have enough time. Again, he had our number and he could have communicated earlier than two or one hour before the tour was supposed to start. Long story short, we should have left at 10.30 as I previously requested, not 11.30. We arrived at the airport at 3.15, but we were only on the island for 45 minutes, which was very rushed. We were really close to cancelling the trip from the port to the island as there may not be a ferry back on time for our flight.

The location was perfect, the breakfast was nice.

You could hear the cars at night, it was too loud not the best to have nice sleep.

Nice, clean and modern apartment. Functionally decorated, with everything you might need for a short stay, including a kitchen annex. Breakfast included in the price. Good WiFi. Friendly team at the reception. Good localization with easy access from the main road. Free street parking in front of the hotel. Some stores and bakeries in the direct vicinity. Good price to quality ratio. Would stay there again in the future.

The staff were very nice people and helpful, the breakfast was acceptable not in a restaurant but they bring to your room.

Parking spot is really limited, it is not guaranteed. The neighbourhood is really busy with a lot of noise at night but it is really close to city centre actually in the city centre. The rooms have no Airco which was really needed during our stay. Some facilities were broken but the staff helped us get the good one or at least get the job done.
