It was a lovely property that is in need of some maintenance . From outside on arrival it looked uncared for compared to the property next door. Inside was nice, it had a cosy feel and the decoration was light and airy. There were some really nice touches like tea and coffee and basic condiments. The location made it.
On arrival the bin at the front of the property was over flowing. Plates and cups needed washing properly before use. Lots of weeds outside. The sofa cushions were marked and needed a good clean. The bathroom smelt of urine/ sewage. The garden had not been swept and was messy. The cottage has such potential but is need of some care and Attention

Perfect!
We are a family of four with two teenage sons (15 and 17) this cottage was perfect for a weekend away in Newquay!
The 18th century cottage has such a warm, welcoming vibe which we felt instantly when we walked in. It is well equipped and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay whilst we were there.
There is so much attention to detail with numerous books to read, a range of board games available and local art dotted around.
The location is superb! Literally 2 minute walk to the supermarket, and within a few minutes of the bustling town and harbour.
The cottage is set back from the main street up an alley which initially we thought may have been dark at night, however we found that it was well light and felt comfortable and safe accessing at the end of the evening.
We would 100% recommend and would most definately return in the future!

The location was amazing. Amazing coffee shop (and the rest of town) on your doorstep, Sainsbury’s across the road, 10 min walk across the golf course to Fistral beach.
The basement dining area was very musty. I could t bear to go down there. Thankfully we weren’t eating at the property much.
If you have little kids and want to be close to them in the night then this is not the place for you. Master bedroom is up one flight or stairs and the other 2 bedrooms are far away up a separate flight of stairs.
The person answering the messages on booking.com wasn’t very helpful. I asked a couple of times for the full address as it wasn’t coming up in Google Maps and I wasn’t given a direct answer it was told to look at the directions in the guidebook.

The Location was amazing so close to two beaches but also so close to local amenities and shops.The dining room downstairs(originally the kitchen) with the original old stove was my favourite room.
The equipment provided in the kitchen was extensive and included utensils for cooking outside aswell.The whole cottage has a lovely welcoming feel to it ,we can't wait to come back.
The only issues we had were with a long ,tall purple plant right next to the bbq(it was a bit in the way) and the bolt on the shower room door was stiff to lock and unlock.
The extended checkout time wasn't as straight forward as I had hoped but very much appreciated.
