The location was just fabulous for us. A bus not far round the corner if we weren’t inclined to walk through the streets and parks to the city, which is a half hour or so. A Tescos just round another corner was so convenient, the feel of the street lovely and peaceful.
The lounge a gentle big room and spacious bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped, the apartment was just what we needed.

Quiet location, cool, calm setting. Spacious with lovely decor and furnishings
Bed a little soft and kitchen low on glasses. Towels could be bigger. Bathroom extractor fan stays in way too long

The flat was conveniently located, close to a Tesco and a bus stop (about 20min ride into the city centre). Also very spacious.
As other reviewers mentioned, there is a distinct smell of sewage that grows the more the bathroom is used and it is very strong. There is a sign in the bathroom explaining that this is due to the old Victorian plumbing, but we wish this had been disclosed more clearly before we booked, as the smell made it unpleasant to spend extended periods in the house.
There were many small details that also made us question if sufficient care was taken to ensure the quality of our stay, especially at this price point. The carpets, bedding, and couch all had visible stains. The bathtub drained very slowly while using the shower which meant we were always standing in an inch or two of the runoff water. There were very few rolls of toilet paper provided and no extras, and there was only one garbage bin that actually had a bag in it. Another strange occurrence was that we had to look for the microwave that should’ve been in the kitchen, to find that it was hidden in the storage closet. The sound of people walking on the floor above us was also very clear and disrupted our sleep.
Lastly, a deposit is taken before this stay that would be returned within 2 weeks barring any damage upon check-out. We were late in receiving the deposit back as we had not provided an email address. This was confusing as we were not prompted to provide such information during the check-in process and no one followed up with us to request this information.
Note that management responds at a reasonable speed but the number of issues we encountered unfortunately left us with a negative overall impression.
