Disappointing experience – poor communication, cleanliness issues and unpleasant smell

The apartment was reasonably spacious, and public transport options such as trams and buses were available nearby. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations.

We really wanted to like this apartment, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the very beginning. We stayed for almost a week, and several issues made our stay much less enjoyable than we had hoped. Poor communication and stressful check-in We contacted the host in advance to ask whether an early check-in before 3 pm would be possible. Via WhatsApp, we were told that they would let us know the day before our arrival, depending on whether other guests were staying. We never received any update. On the day of arrival, we still had no clear information about the check-in procedure or even whether someone would be there to meet us at 3 pm. Communication was extremely confusing: one person replied on Booking.com, another on WhatsApp, and they clearly did not communicate with each other. There is no reception, and guests must arrange a specific arrival time in advance. This is particularly frustrating when travelling with suitcases and simply wanting to know when you can access your accommodation. After several messages and a rather frustrating exchange, a third person contacted us from yet another WhatsApp number. We were eventually told that someone would meet us at 3 pm, provided we sent another message 40 minutes beforehand. We followed the instructions, but when we arrived at the agreed time, nobody was there. The person later told us they were still on their way and asked where we were, despite having agreed on the meeting time. When the person finally arrived, they seemed genuinely surprised that we were unhappy about the delay, asking whether we were really upset over just 5–7 minutes. The point was not simply the few minutes of waiting, but the complete lack of coordination and communication throughout the entire process. To make matters worse, when we finally entered the apartment, the cleaner was still there. The apartment was clearly not ready for our arrival at the agreed check-in time of 3 pm.

Don't pay in advance

Location good, despite building work going on around it. Charming period decoration

Unable to get into the accommodation on the day we arrived despite paying in advance and have received no compensation for this The accommodation that we eventually received was larger than we booked but without some of the promised amenities eg no coffee machine or TV

Agradable alojamiento
