Awful. Just awful. Do not rent!!!!
The property is right on the water, and the beds are comfortable. Most of our experience, however, was tarnished by the many things that were broken, missing, or not working properly. We had high hopes and expectations but we were severely underwhelmed.
The house sleeps 12 or 13 comfortably, but the living room only had seating for four. The outdoor patios only had a total of four chairs on them as well.
When we arrived, one of the toilets was broken and the handle fell off the kitchen sink. We reported these problems immediately, and heard back via text that they would get to it as soon as possible. They did not have someone come out to the property for over 72 hours, despite the fact that we checked in every 4 to 6 hours to see when the repairman was coming.
On our first morning, the fire alarm started going off just before 8:00 a.m. with loud sirens and repeating the word. "FIRE" in a loud voice. Concerned, I came downstairs, but there was no fire. The fire alarm had been tucked in a cabinet above the fridge and was malfunctioning. I sent messages and called the property management company, but we could not get it to turn off, and the batteries were built into the unit. We finally had to take the unit outside and leave it outside because it kept going off.
The outdoor shower was leaking, which had rotted the boards beneath it, and the constant water created a mosquito infestation.
The paint was bubbled and peeling in several places, and the woodwork was damaged to the point that doors were swollen shut and could not be opened or closed. One of the doors that went outside onto a patio could not be locked due to the warped wood. One of the bedroom doors made a loud screeching sound every time it was opened or closed, again due to warped wet wood and rot, which awakened the people and the other portions of the house. One of the cabinet doors the hinge was ripped out of the wall and the door was hanging a skew. We had to wedge it back in place to close the cabinet.
In the main sitting room, several of the lights were burned out, and the lights on the fans were only able to be turned on with a remote control, but the remote controls were missing.
