Avoid this property, Bait-and-switch and extremely disappointing experience

Only good thing about this property is the Location

I had a confirmed reservation through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the property owner told me that all of their properties were booked. He then offered to arrange another property, but only if I cancelled my Booking.com reservation and paid him directly. I questioned why I was being told that I had no accommodation despite having a confirmed reservation. His response was that it was my fault because I had not paid an advance. He said they prioritise customers who pay in advance, and that even customers with confirmed Booking.com reservations may be treated this way. This was extremely concerning and completely defeats the purpose of having a confirmed reservation through the platform. After around 30 minutes of arguing and wasting my time, I refused to cancel the Booking.com reservation, and he eventually agreed to honour what we had originally booked. Unfortunately, the actual stay was also very disappointing. The cleanliness was poor and the overall atmosphere of the property was unpleasant. The towels were dirty, there was no hand wash or body wash, and basic toiletries were not provided. Since I had already paid in advance, I also did not receive proper documentation for the payment. Overall, I would strongly recommend being cautious when booking this property. The handling of a confirmed reservation, the request to cancel and pay directly, and the poor cleanliness and basic amenities made this a very unpleasant experience.
