The location was in the central city of Christchurch, which was only a 5 minute walk from the Tram and 10 minutes to the restaurant district.

The location was fantastic. The house is new and well equipped. The separation between the two bedrooms was lovely (one on ground, one on third floor) for me as an adult child and my parents staying together. Do note the stairs to the living/kitchen/dining floor and the second bedroom. The washer dryer combo was really useful and walkability to all of the CBD, walking paths around the Avon River, nearby attractions was lovely.
The parking was a hassle, there is only short term parking on the street and rarely available - we found nearby all day parking and were able to bring the car to load/unload suitcases but it was a bit of a stress finding somewhere to put the car all day. The nearby construction was loud, started early and as they were still doing groundwork, it shook the house significantly and was a bit unnerving. A foldable clothesline/air dryer would be been useful for clothes we didnt want to put in the dryer.

The apartment is perfect for 2 couples as you have a whole level to yourself.
It is decorated beautifully and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
Highly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay. Only suggestion is to have a second sofa for 3 or 4 people and some extra hangers
