Convenient location, but a sewage smell and a cockroach spoiled our stay

The apartment is well located for visiting the Oceanogràfic and City of Arts and Sciences, with a friendly burger bar right next door, and it had the modern conveniences you’d expect.

Unfortunately, several things fell well short of the listing and of what we’d expect from a holiday rental. Check-in didn’t match the description: the electronic entry system wasn’t working, so a key safe was used instead. We did wonder how secure this really is for an apartment in a busy urban area. The apartment itself felt very enclosed - fully frosted windows and no outside space made it feel more like a windowless box than a holiday apartment. We’d booked for 4 guests, but the sofa bed wasn’t made up on arrival, and it was poor quality besides: workable for our children, but not something an adult could sleep on comfortably. The biggest issue was a strong sewage smell throughout the apartment for the entire stay. When it didn’t clear on its own, we contacted the property. Their proposed solution was to send someone round with air freshener, which in our view would only have masked the smell rather than resolved it. We also found a cockroach in the bathroom, which was distressing for my wife and children in particular. Combined with the smell, this points to an underlying drainage problem that future guests should be aware of. When we raised our concerns, we felt they were dismissed - we were told there was no smell after we left, which simply didn’t match what we experienced. We rarely leave critical reviews. We understand minor issues happen and normally let them go, but given the scale of these problems and how our concerns were handled, we felt future guests deserved an honest account of our stay.

Very Nice

Beautiful new suites, tastefully decorated and very clean .

Some external noise from traffic and people passing and there are no views or outside space to use.

The apartment is beautiful, clean and you have nearly the shops with foods.

We missed that you can sit outside in front of the apartment and have a coffee. There is no balcony or outdoor space and we really missed it.

La struttura è accogliente e ha qualsiasi tipologia di comfort . Abbiamo soggiornato con 2 bimbi piccoli , dotata di microonde, lavatrice e asciugatrice , biancheria , tutto pulito . Perfetta, tutto è raggiungibile con bolt o autobus

Mi è piaciuto per pulizia, servizi a disposizione , posizione vicina a fermata mezzi pubblici, market e per efficienza e rapidità di comunicazione con gestore struttura.

Non ho molto apprezzato il fatto che pur avendo comunicato che eravamo in 4 ospiti il divano letto non fosse già aperto e preparato. Inoltre il divano letto aveva una scarsa comodità per la struttura e scarso spessore dei suoi materassi.
