Don’t book it!
Nothing, really nothing.
The check-in procedure was terrible and partially spoiled two of our precious vacation days. The rental agency demanded a deposit, which is ok, but the payment platform for this did not work, so we had to do several attempts and were quite worried whether this could be a phishing attempt on our credit card. We also had to upload our identity cards and selfies of ourselves to another platform, all for security reasons according to the agency (never had to do this for other apartments in France), before they were so gracious to give us the access codes. All in all the agency set completely exaggerated demands, had a faulty payment portal, was very unflexible, not reachable by phone and sending all messages only in French.
When we finally could enter the apartment, the next unpleasant surprises were waiting for us. The apartment is in a fairly worn state in an ugly large apartment building and does not correspond in any way to the description on the Booking.com website. It is a place without love where you can’t feel good. You can see on every inch of it that maximum profit should be achieved with minimal effort. I perceive that as a rip-off. The furniture looks a bit like collected on the bulky refuse. The bathroom is practically unusable because of brown smelly water, the kitchen and its equipment are old and dirty, the bedroom is a niche recessed in the hallway next to the entrance door, the "garden furniture" a joke, the unusable without receivable channels.
Bedding and towels were not available, they should have been booked (unfortunately I overlooked this when booking, my mistake). In response to our request, we were told that these would normally have to be present on
the beds, no remedy was offered, there is simply nobody on site who could help.
The few comment-free positive reviews for the apartment are definitely fake and should be removed. No one is so stupid
as to give this hovel 10, 9, or 8 points.
