If you’re looking for a place that truly feels magical, Laputa Bali is it.
Perched high above the Sidemen Valley, the panoramic views are simply breathtaking. Waking up to rolling rice terraces, Mount Agung in the distance, and clouds floating through the valley is an experience we’ll never forget. The luxury bamboo glamping concept is beautifully designed, combining comfort with nature in a way that feels both exclusive and authentic. The open-air architecture lets you fully immerse yourself in the surroundings while still enjoying every comfort you need.
One of our favourite little surprises were the resident geckos. They might wake you a few minutes before your alarm with their funny calls, but somehow it just becomes part of the charm of staying here. We ended up smiling every morning.
Despite being completely surrounded by nature, we were pleasantly surprised by how few insects there were, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stunning setting, both during the day and at night.
The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming and attentive. Since the villas are located on a hillside, they kindly helped carry our luggage both up and down the many steps, which was a thoughtful service and much appreciated. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
Laputa Bali is far more than just a place to stay; it’s an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Sidemen and want something unique, peaceful and surrounded by spectacular scenery, this is the place to book. We would return in a heartbeat.
If I had to stay anything it would be the steep clim to get to the villa.

De rust bovenop de berg. Het ontbijt was uitstekend en ook kun je savonds eten en drinken bestellen. Het personeel van de villa wil ook overal bij helpen en zelfs (gelukkig voor ons) je koffer naar de villa en weer terug brengen.
De weg ernaartoe is er stijl en niet elke taxi chauffeur word hier blij van. Gelukkig bied het personeel ook een supergoed lokaal taxi bedrijf aan die het geen probleem vinden. Ook de nachtelijke dieren is misschien niet iets voor iedereen

Die Anreise war aufregend, weil das Baumhaus wirklich ganz oben am Berg liegt und am Ende die Straße so steil ist, dass unser Fahrer Schwierigkeiten hatte, nach oben auf den Parkplatz zu kommen. Letztendlich wird man nach einem weiteren kurzen und steilen Fußweg mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht belohnt. MEGA!!
Die Mitarbeiter haben uns das Gepäck abgenommen und ins Baumhaus gebracht, ein toller Service.
Das Baumhaus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Moskitonetze hochwertig.
Sogar im offenen Bad konnte man die Aussicht geniessen.
Zwischen den beiden Schlafzimmern gab es noch einen offenen Sitzbereich mit weitem Blick über Sidemen und bis zum Meer.
Man konnte Essen und Trinken bestellen, das direkt ins Baumhaus geliefert wurde. Wir haben es an einem Abend genutzt und es war sehr gut.
Wir haben versucht einige Ausflüge mit dem Grab zu machen, was etwas schwierig war. Wir würden empfehlen, den Fahrservice von Laputa zu nutzen.
Wir sind mit dem Fahrer vom Laputa in unsere nächste Unterkunft gefahren und konnten uns unterwegs noch einige Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen. Einfach super nett.
Obwohl wir wissen, dass es in einem offenen Baumhaus viele Insekten geben kann, haben uns die vielen Ameisen etwas gestört. Ansonsten gab es keine Probleme mit "tierischen Mitbwohnern".
