Hidden Extra Charges - DO NOT STAY HERE
Apartment was nice and modern. AC was ok...
Location... you are in the middle of tiny back streets with no amenities close by.
Please be careful when booking this property there is a hidden 700 baht ($22usd!!! For 1 night stay!!!!) cleaning fee! When i went to cancel the reservation there is a 900 baht ($28usd) cancellation charge which is the price of 1 night stay! I understand a cleaning fee for apartment rentals of a month plus not for a single night stay!!!
After double checking it has *additional charges may be applied* in small writing under the listed price when booking. However nowhere on the property listing does it mention what these charges are!
After contacting the property owner to assist with a free cancellation (keep in mind the booking was for the same day and cancellation attempted less than 30mins after booking so its not like the property was off the market for long and potential lost reservations were going to happen.
I asked to meet the owner to discuss in person possible mutually beneficial solutions, but was answered by a very unhelpful owner who's solution was "not my problem, booking.com has your money" and "many guest stay before and this is first time I hear this"
Check in process to the apartment is terrible.... even after contacting the owner and informed I would be there in 30mins I arrived and it was incredibly difficult to know which apartment is yours (I had to look at the photos and locate outside building from window pictures on the website. Then when I found the apartment (but wasnt sure..) I ended up walking into a completely open apartment with keys on the table inside.... I wasnt sure if it was the booking.com apartment or if it was somebody's private home! Then after being in the property and in contact with the owner regarding the cancellation they sent me the check in instructions randomly... I had been in the property for over an hour already!!!
Overall property is nice 9/10. Experience horrendous 0/10
